I’m sorry, but some people really can’t grasp certain concepts, they just seem to be missing those few brain cells necessary to grasp what is so obvious to everyone else. For instance, you might tell them that your going to the grocery store to buy soda, but they simply cannot seem to fathom the concept that the purpose of going to the store is to buy the soda, not to just randomly go to the store. Now, lets apply that to a somewhat more complex scenario: President Obama’s Back-to-School speech. Thousands of Americans are protesting Obama’s planned speech because it came with a lesson plan requesting students to write letters on what they could do to help the President. It was this lesson plan that prompted the protests, not the speech. You see how that works? Seems John Harwood has had some trouble grasping this concept. Guess no one will be sending him to the store any time soon.
