			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I can&#8217;t say that I was surprised when the health care debacle passed, but I was shocked, angered &#8211; no outraged when that Hag that is Pelosi had the temerity to link this disgusting bill to the Declaration of Independence. She made what is a most egregious error by calling on one of the greatest claims for personal freedom when she characterized the nature of the health care bill as one that is consistent with our Declaration of Independence. Clearly, the Speaker of the House has no working knowledge of what &#8216;life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness&#8217; means. Clearly she forgot or chose to overlook the true intent of the Declaration of Independence when she forgot to complete the phrase she started, this phrase -<strong>&#8216;That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — &#8216;</strong></p>
<p>Of especial importance is this phrase <strong>&#8216;Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed&#8217;. </strong>The American people, the governed, did not consent to this law, making this law unjust, because only &#8216;JUST&#8217; powers come from our consent. This is the basis of our Republic, the basis of our law- the true basis of justice. We the people know this and we will prevail in the end. We must and we will fight this fight until the end. We must take back this country and return the government to one of consent by the people. I believe that we can do this. America&#8217;s true spirit will reawaken anew, we will take back our country.</p>
<p>Remember, the Declaration also states &#8216;<strong>That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government&#8230;&#8217;</strong> These are our rights as declared by our Founding Fathers and we will exercise them come November.  I highly suggest Pelosi prepare herself for the coming defeat, it will be monumental.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes, my friends it appears as if members of less than half of our Congress will force through legislation that is hated by the majority of the American people. Is this democracy? I think not &#8211;  One could not imagine any group of people so willing to create political suicide if it were not for the simple idea that what they are really trying to create is not health care reform, but a systematic bankrupting of the American Capitalist system in order to place themselves in the power positions, in other words a despotic oligarchy. Just by virtue of having been a member of Congress for one lousy term these people have their lives set &#8211; free health care, massive pensions, opportunities the average Joe would never have access to.</p>
<p>They have the power, we don&#8217;t and that message has been so thoroughly rammed down the throats of the people of this country it is truly frightening. The only thing left for congress now is to simply vote themselves into office in perpetuity. It would really save time in the great take over by the &#8216;we&#8217;re right and your stupid&#8217; crowd.</p>
<p>Now, I must say that up to this point I really believed that the system would work, that the will of the people would be heard, but the condescension being rained down on the populace from the lofty heights of D.C. have really begun to erode my faith. However, all is not lost yet, the outrage of the people suggests that there will be hell to pay if this sort of thing continues and I&#8217;d really hate to see what will happen if this health care bill passes.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Zenyatta, the 13 time undefeated filly took on the boys today. They said she couldn&#8217;t do, they said  she was out of her class, but boy oh boy, were they ever wrong! Not only did this  beautiful and graceful super-horse keep up with the boys, she ran circles around them. And this was not just  any old set of   colts either, this group included the winners of the Kentucky Derby <em>and</em> Belmont Stakes, the &#8216;08 Santa Anita Stakes, the &#8216;09 Santa Anita Handicap, the &#8216;09 Pacific Classic, and a host of other G1 stakes.  The two winners from the world famous triple crown series could do no better than Summerbird&#8217;s third place, Mine That Bird was nowhere to be seem. Kinda makes you wonder if this mare could have been the  first &#8216;girl&#8217; to take the Triple Crown? The only horse she has never beaten or raced against from that group is  that &#8216;other&#8217; super-horse, Rachel Alexandra. Kinda funny to think that the two greatest horses in America  are both fillies. What a change in horse racing.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> Many in the sporting world were hoping for a match race between the two great mares, but Rachel  Alexandra&#8217;s connections bowed out, claiming they didn&#8217;t want to race her on the synthetic track and  actually, who can blame Rachel Alexandra for not showing up? After all, Zenyatta is undefeated on the  synthetics, well to be honest she&#8217;s undefeated, period, something the east coast filly can&#8217;t claim.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Zenyatta asserted her utter dominance of the Sport of Kings in characteristic fashion, she unleashed her amazing speed and enormous stride coming down the stretch, picking the boys off one by one as she did so. She not only came from behind to win the race, but she won by a full length, leaving no doubt as to who was the best of the best. No one watching that amazing rally could deny they were in the presence of greatness. This is a race that will go down in the record books. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, can anyone say &#8216;Horse of the Year&#8217; ?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a massive betrayal of the American people, the House has passed the most controversial and costly bill in American history. With the strike of a gavel the Democratic led House willingly ignored the pleas of the majority of the American public in order to &#8216;make history&#8217;. The extent of the damage this bill will do to the American economy and American health care system remains to be seen, but the damage a multitude of Democrats did to their careers will be evident soon enough. For several months now Americans from every political party have been pleading with politicians to not pass this bill, they said that if the bill passes, then those people who voted for it will not be in office after this term &#8211; I hope America holds to that promise. It is inexcusable that in this so-called democracy, our elected officials have chosen to ignore the will of the people. It is time Americans stood up against this sort of abuse of our system and turned out those who have willfully chosen to betray it. And yes, it is OUR system.  </p>
<p>Frighteningly evident too is the obvious lack of understanding of what a free society truly is that many of those campaigning for this bill showed. There seems to be a bizarre consensus among that crowd that the government should indeed take care of us and that we are not responsible for anything that we do. It is a terrible shame as well as a brilliant reflection on the governments idea of a school system that the people of the greatest nation in the world have no idea of what this system is really about. I am deeply saddened at the ignorance and sloth that seems to pervade a large portion of this country. However, we can choose to fix this problem if we want to. We can turn out EVERY politician that betrays the American people, we can educate those who don&#8217;t seem to understand the real meaning of freedom. We can take back this great government for Americans, instead of letting this nation slide into the mediocrity that is pervasive in Europe.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Long time no see &#8211; I&#8217;ve been on an extended vaca, but all this exciting stimulus news has brought me back to my senses. I&#8217;ve been wondering if anyone in the Obama administration has actually heard of fact checks? Seriously folks, it doesn&#8217;t take a genius to find out how many teachers are employed in the Northern Chicago area. In fact, you would think that it would behoove the administration to, at the very least get that number (considering it is, well Chicago&#8230;) before they release yet another announcement applauding themselves for &#8217;saving&#8217; American jobs. Yes, they seem to have over exaggerated their greatness once again. The new &#8217;stimulus&#8217; success announcement released by the admin claims that the stimulus bill saved 473 teachers&#8217; jobs in one district of N. Chicago, but sadly only 290 teachers actually work in the district. So, exactly which jobs were saved? Clearly none were added. I suppose being off by only about two hundred jobs or so isn&#8217;t that bad, maybe I should give Obama a break, but I CAN&#8221;T because the numbers were wrong in a number of the districts! Of course the main stream media is faulting the school districts for the error in the numbers (no way the Obama administration could be wrong), and that might be fair, but everyone knows you have to check your facts &#8211; it&#8217;s a basic rule of reporting. C&#8217;mon people, please when are you going to realize that this administration is no different than any other, they lie when it&#8217;s necessary to make them look good.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Of course, the real question here though is does the stimulus <em>actually</em> &#8217;save&#8217; jobs because I have not heard that any of these jobs were <em>actually</em> in danger of being lost&#8230;&#8230;  Where I live very few, if any  jobs have <em>actually</em> been saved, the government has merely supplied more work for those people already employed and they are all employed by the government. Now, considering that the majority of the jobs lost have been in the private sector, what good does that do the average unemployed Joe? Of course the irony is that the news of Chicago&#8217;s &#8217;saved&#8217; jobs comes at virtually the same time as  the announcement that over 190,000 jobs were lost in just the last month.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Seems like the only place to find a real job these days is at the Unemployment Office &#8211; no, seriously.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well by now we&#8217;ve all heard the President&#8217;s Congressional Address regarding the health care reform bill and for my part, I found it difficult to watch. Not only did he not bring anything new to the table, he had the audacity to cast dispersions upon Americans who questioned the bill and what it contained. He mischaracterized the nature of the complaints against what were termed the&#8217;death panels&#8217; and again tried to make those who dissented look like fools and idiots. I personally find Obama&#8217;s methods of addressing the concerns of the American people to be degrading and unbecoming of an American President and believe me, I wasted no time in letting him know. I cannot recall a President in recent memory who has spoken to or about the American people in such a derogatory and hateful fashion. </p>
<p>I am sick and tired of listening to a President spend half of his time ripping the opposite party to shreds. At what point does he think this will bring this nation together? At what point did he think he was given a mandate to legislate any bill he saw fit? He never once refers to what the American people want, he only spoke of how it was imperative to pass health care legislation and that he was the man to do it. It was pretty clear that Obama sees this legislation not as legislation that the American people want, but as the legislation that will define his presidency. He wants to be the president that passes health care reform where all others have failed, it does not matter to him that this is dividing the country, it does not matter to him what this legislation will cost us in terms of jobs or revenue, it does not even matter to him that this bill could ruin our health care system. What matters to President Obama is his legacy and that is the sign of dangerously arrogant man.</p>

<p>And for those of you not in the know, the location is the Federal building, which also happens to be on one of the busiest intersections in Los Angeles. Of course, the other small detail is that this location is far more famous for being shut down by UCLA students, close kin to the slightly northern and only a tad more radical Berkeley students. Hmmm, I wonder how they&#8217;ll feel about the shift in the wind? </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m sorry, but some people really can&#8217;t grasp certain concepts, they just seem to be missing those few brain cells necessary to grasp what is so obvious to everyone else. For instance, you might tell them that your going to the grocery store to buy soda, but they simply cannot seem to fathom the concept that the purpose of going to the store is to buy the <em>soda</em>, not to just randomly go to the store. Now, lets apply that to a somewhat more complex scenario: President Obama&#8217;s Back-to-School speech. Thousands of Americans are protesting Obama&#8217;s planned speech because it came with a lesson plan requesting students to write letters on what they could do to help the President. It was this <em>lesson plan</em> that prompted the protests, not the speech. You see how that works? Seems John Harwood has had some trouble grasping this concept. Guess no one will be sending him to the store any time soon. </p>

The bad news is the rest of the world still doesn&#8217;t know about it or even the real reasons behind it.  And that is really, really bad news. What they&#8217;re going to hear is the same old malarkey about Jones calling the Republicans a bad name (oh, his bad) and the much worse and indeed resignation worthy, 9/11 Truther petition he committed his already much sullied name to. What they won&#8217;t hear  is that Van Jones was deeply involved in a number of radical movements including the Ella Baker center where he recorded and released music videos that contain lyrics that are deeply offensive to US policy as well as deeply racist.  What they won&#8217;t hear is that he was also a member of S.T.O.R.M, a radical Marxist group that vowed to &#8216;end the reign of US imperialism.&#8217; What they won&#8217;t hear is that Jones was an avowed communist and that he was present at the shut down of the WTO in 1999. What they won&#8217;t hear is that this man believes things that the majority of us do not believe, that he had the capability of enacting policy that we do not want enacted. What they won&#8217;t hear is that he was given power without being questioned. They will not hear these things.</p>
<p>Now, Van Jones is allowed to believe whatever he wants. He can pursue any political agenda he feels like, he may protest, he may organize, sign petitions, he may even make as many offensive, racist videos as he wants to. This is America and despite what people in the PC movement would like to think, all speech is free not just speech that they OK. This is an important part of the very foundation of our country and I <em>cannot</em> emphasize that enough. However, the caveat here is that Van Jones was not voted into office by the American people. We did not give our OK for his ideals, his agenda to be a part of our agenda. He was neither vetted, nor OK&#8217;d  by our elected representatives to serve in our government. His ideals are not our ideals and that is a very important factor. No one should be in a position of power in our government that was not put there by the people of this country and how we came about having all of these Czars, advisors and other extracurricular offices is just a teensy bit suspicious to me. It feels just a bit like someone&#8217;s trying to make an end run around the Constitution and its about time we did away with all of them, and pronto. </p>
<p>If it had not been for the tenacity of one man, Van Jones just might have stayed in office.  At the end of the day the facts remain that mainstream media has lost all journalistic integrity, Van Jones slipped under our noses because they are little better than the average press release.  There was no questioning of the powers that be and in light of that we must all be constantly on guard. We must put the questions to those in power, but we must also know what questions to ask and we must be willing to act if we do not like the answers. It is up to us to safeguard our country, democracy and freedom do not come cheaply.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While it is indeed sad that the Kennedy family has lost two family members in such a short period of time and Ted Kennedy was, no doubt much admired by many of his colleagues I will openly admit that I have never been a fan of Senator Kennedy&#8217;s. He, like others in the Kennedy family got away with too much, far more than other American would ever have gotten away with had they had their hand in some of the antics that he had his hand in. I am an adamant advocate for the equality of all people and the Kennedy family has been held above that position for far too long. I do not need to go into the long list of grievances that mar the family and the Senator&#8217;s name, they are well known to all. </p>
<p>However, what I do want to talk about today is the Senator&#8217;s recent request of that the Governor of Massachusetts. Allegedly, the Senator sent a private letter to Governor Deval Patrick asking him to again change the state&#8217;s law of succession so that the governor could appoint a temporary replacement in the event of the Senator&#8217;s death. This is an interesting caveat because it was Ted Kennedy who originally had the law changed so that the governor in 2004, then Republican Mit Romney, could not appoint an interim Senator to replace John Kerry should he win the Presidency, now he wants it changed back. This is clearly an attempt on Senator Kennedy&#8217;s part to manipulate the law to again benefit the Democrats. The Dems need the critical 60 votes for the health care debate and without Kennedy and the critically ill Senator Byrd they will lack the full 60. Now, they said Kennedy did this, if indeed he did do this (it is unclear as to whether or not Kennedy was, in fact actually up to writing this type of letter in his last days), because he didn&#8217;t want to see the State of Massachusetts short a senator and therefore unequally represented during critical votes. And yes, they said votes, as in plural, not &#8216;vote&#8217; as in the &#8216;Health Care Reform&#8217; vote. C&#8217;mon, feed me a new one.</p>
<p>If Senator Kennedy was really so altruistic then he would have stepped down months ago when it was apparent that he, and thereby Massachusetts was going to be missing numerous &#8216;critical votes&#8217;, but I guess all those votes were really not so critical after all and maybe, just maybe the only &#8216;critical vote&#8217; he was referring to was the one in which the Democratic party is only going to squeak through on the skin of their nose, if at all and that is Health Care Reform. So, maybe that&#8217;s the reason they want to name the health care reform after Kennedy.</p>
<p>These days nothing surprises me anymore, but it should and that is sad. More importantly it is a deep, deep outrage and an absolute affront to our system of government and to the people of this country that one man can or even thinks he can change a law or request that a law be changed to suit his needs or even the needs of his party. The implementation of this law will affect the lives of millions of people from here on out and to the best of our knowledge no one, NO ONE has even authenticated the letter requesting the changing of the law. More troublesome still, is that no one seems to think that it is a problem for one man to be able to change a law on his request alone. </p>
<p>Who is this man? A King? A Sultan? A Czar? A President? </p>
<p>Oh, wait, this is supposed to be the United States a country based on Representation and the equality of all. No one should have such power, yet no one has even questioned it.</p>
<p>I find that a problem.</p>
